Contact the poet

rising moon –
which basket will you
fall into?

on a cloud
I daydream about

the earth

late summer . . .
I pin a dragonfly's wings

to my haiku

aviary
our eyes fly
from bird to bird

jasmine . . .
a layer of evening

on the trees

early morning frost
a thin layer of sleep

on the windshield

only water
between my footsteps
and the horizon
