Mary Hohlman

old desk

the love letters

she never sent

crescent moon

I trace the outline

of my broken dreams

scrambling for the last drop of crumbs lost lover

autumn night

gull cry and moonlight

ripple…

evening breeze-

the simple song

of a wind chime

mountain rain

the steady grey

I see in her eyes

fallen petals

so alive

in moonlight

night wind-

spilling secrets

from long ago

collage the many facets of her wildflowers

summer afternoon

running forever

ocean breeze

summer night

a crescent moon's smile

wider then mine

mountain trail

fallen leaves still alive

with sunset

cicada song

I change

my perspective

misty afternoon

hint of wisteria

kissing her neck
