temple breeze…

the peepal whispers

an ancient secret

 

*the peepal is a scared tree and is found in several temples in India. Some peepal trees are over a hundred years old and lend a charm of their own to the temple courtyard

 

my baby’s heartbeat

next to mine

the rhythm for our lullaby

visiting grandma…

her love laid out

on the lunch table

 

anniversary dinner –

the candle does little

to melt the frost

 

april sun

the city turns scarlet

under the gulmohar

 

grey sky -

the sudden urgency

in the pigeon’s flight

 

sunday lunch -

laughter muffled

by hot rice
